I have a licenced virtual DJ and some hardware. I've been teaching some friends how to mix and get the hang of it
Now we're getting to the point where they need to analyse their tracks and fix grid issues.
What's the best (and really the simplest) way for them to bring their tracks over to me? They usually just bring a USB each with some music but they all have VDJ free and lose the analysis and hot cues they've set themselves.
My friends are not particularly tedhnical so I'm trying to keep it easy :)

Just use VirtualDJ browser to copy the files to and from the USB memory stick.

Ok, that makes sense! I somehow only thought of export as a CDJ thing.
So if they have an exported USB their database will be read directly from the drive or it has to be imported to my computer first?

just read as another drive, all the tag/cues/grids are stored in a database on the removable drive.

It's plug and play so will be visible as soon as they plug it in. As long as you copy from within VDJ.

VDJ creates a slice of the database on each external drive with the relevant tracks, and the new laptop then reads that
I did a video on it once:
