not much of anything..
show_splitpanel sideview X%
works for X = 100% to 1% including all fractional values, for example X = 10.3%
Does NOT work for X less then 1%
ie
show_splitpanel sideview 0.9%
is same as
show_splitpanel sideview 0%
and same as
show_splitpanel sideview off
one can move/set the position anywhere except when one gets down to 1%, then closes if going infinitesimally less then the 1%.
note: one can manually adjust the position, in the range between, 1% to 0%.
seems not currently possible with script.

1% is indeed the smallest you can set

is there an option.. to stop the closed sideview, from opening to its last open position, if one drags a track over the tab ?
manually setting the position at, say to between 0.5% and 0.3%, since that small amount makes little difference if its open or closed.. so in effect disabling the auto-open.
wished to set the position similarly, as was doing manually.. with script, to continue to "disable" the auto-open.
again, not much of anything
